 Subject: Engine swap question

I currently have a gen 1 dakota with the 4 cyl. engine. I have the option to buy a v6 from another dakota and was wondering if it is possible to do that swap and if it is, what else needs to be done.. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

4 to 6? You'll need to beef up suspension, replace PCM (if it has one ), change tourque converter ( if auto tranny ), and check the frame for cracks and weakness, thus making sure that your front-end won't fly off.
To do the 6 to 8 swap I also I had to modify some of the mounts.
