 Subject: Alarm Disabling

I have a 1992 Dakota with an alarm that was installed in 92-93. Everytime I hook up the battery, the alarm turns on. I have the controller for it, but with it being 10 years old, it is barely working. I need to find someway to disable the alarm before I am unable to shut it off one day. I found a little clear box with a circuit board inside of it and it has three wires running to it. Red, Blue, and Black. I cut all three of these, and it still goes off. I also found a silver rectangular box which has a green and blue wire running to it. I cut these and it still goes off.
What do I need to do? I have heard there is the brain to the alarm somewhere??
