Yup. I am in that group. I believe some of the 4.7L that year got them and some didn't. It makes finding an aftermarket gage overlay difficult. I don't know if they changed the redlines on the gages for the year though. I believe the "orange line" is around 5k and the red around 6k. I can check at lunch.

My 2000 QC 4x4 4.7 auto, has the 7000rpm tach. What range do the others hit?

My 2002 has the 7,000 rpm gage, but it has no color configuration for the RED or ORANGE Lines.
I do know that the RED LINE is at 6,000 rpm and the fuel shut off is at 6,500 rpm's.

My tach only goes to 6000 rpms..... so I wait for the needle to stop moving before I shift! hahaha
