Message: Here's a link to the pics of my homebrew cold-air intake on my 96 CC.
http://community.webshots.com/album/47006903FwSQyb
The details: airhat for a 97 Dak --> 3" Fernco coupler --> 8"x3" PVC w/heat paint --> 3" Fernco elbow --> 3"x3" PVC w/heat paint --> 3" Fernco coupler --> 6x9" K&N cone filter.
So far it's working great!! We've had major heat this past week (101!!) and I drove it around town quite a bit in the middle of the days. No signs of melting! Seems to be holding up well. I notice an improvement in pick up (no pun intended) and the mileage seems to be a bit better though I've not yet run a full tank. Filled up today so we'll see.
Email me if you have any questions.

Message: Anything is better than stock. You could have used a 3" PVC sweep (that is a long 90) instead of the expensive Fernco and saved some money.
