Ok, I have a 1990 dak 2wd with the rack/pinion steering. I have been told by person after person that R&P steering systems can only take 3in of susp lift. Is this due to the increased angle of the tie rods and ends? Or simply due to larger tire weight?
I have thought about taking the tie rod end, and removing it from the underside of the spindle arm, and relocating it to the upper side of the spindle arm. This would bring the tie rod angle back to stock in the event of a larger susp lift. What do ya think?
Any info, please send it to me. Or if anyone has totaly replaced their R&P steering with the 4x4 system of drag links etc. Thanks.
