What is your opinion on replacing the hood badge with a viper hood badge ?? I was looking at a red badge or a black badge.

I think it's a really cool idea. I've seen a few pics and it looks great ... I'd make sure you have the balls to back it up before you do it though :)

it's not the same size is it?
if it is...sweet go for it and get pics (go with the black)
if it isn't the same size, it'll look kinda funny in the larger hole (indentation) where the old one was

I had bought one for my Dak after my hood emblem was stolen (but before my truck was stolen), it looked pretty good....but it didn't fit as well as I hoped. It was a bit smaller which wasn't a huge deal but there was a lot bigger curve in it than the hood was, so there was a big space underneath. I used extra adhesive but I was still scared of getting that stolen. Don't have to worry anymore since they stole the whole truck!!

No sorry, I just put it on last week and the weather has been crapy (no clean truck) so I didn't get any pics before it was taken from me. If I get it back I will definately let you know and send u some pics. I know there is a guy on here w/ an intense blue that did it. A search for it might come up with his website. Try the custom style forum too.

I don't mean to be an jerk, but it just strikes me funny to put something on a vehicle that the vehicle is not. Go to any website that makes fun of ricers and you'll see what I'm talking about. Yeah, the Viper is cool, but I don't understand putting Viper badges on a Dakota unless it's got a V10 nestled in the engine bay. Am I not understanding something? Everyone should do whatever they want to their vehicles. I do. That's just my 2 cents. =)
