Have an 87 Regular Cab Long Box, 128K miles.....think engine needs to be rebuilt, runs rough. Any intrest for fix or parts?
Also have 91 ext cab, AC, 163k....no problems. Very solid.

Oh...both are V6, Automatics...87 is white, 91 is red.

Hey on either one, is the dash cluster black? I am looking for the instrument cluster face plate. The black plastic part that sits on the gauges. I need the one with a tach on the left, speedo in the middle, and gas, temp, pressure, amp on the right. Are you willing to sell parts like that? If so, how much? Thanks.

Sounds like u need a stick? My Automatics don't have tachs.....
Ps...only the 87 can be parted out or fixed.

Yeah, my 1990 Auto has a tach too.
On that 87, does it have 2 large holes one the left, and 4 small ones on the right? I think the Daks that came with no tach actually still have the same face plate, but the non-tach ones have a very large fuel gauge. Correct me if I am wrong but it might match up any way.

Think u might be right bout the tach on the 91.....I don't have that one here right now.
The 87 has 2 big(fuel,speed)and 4 small(Batt,temp,oil,seat belt)....like u said.
How do you get that out?
Just out of pure curiosity, why would u need such a part?
I need to see what kind of interest there is first......Now is the time to make offers.
Anybody else need parts?

Yeah, I can see why it might sound strange. I am about to customize my interior. I am hoping to buy a custom face plate for the gauges. And am refinishing all the dash panals with either chrome or metalic silver. This includes the gauge face plate, the walls of the gauge cluster, part of my new APC steering wheel, and around my Sony head unit, AC unit, etc. I am also looking to buy another busket seat to remove my 40-60 bench. And install a custom center console to hold my 2 12in subs and amp, etc.
I need that face plate like the one you have to try different paints on. I cant remove mine until I tear it all apart for the painting. And its my daily driver so that doesnt work. Some paints work well on plastics, others dont, some cover, other wont. Just stuff like that. basically all you have to do to remove it is take the screws outa the dash front. (The trim around the whole dash (around the AC, radio, gauges, etc) It pulls out over the steering wheel. Then you have a few screws to remove from the face plate and it should pull right out.

Thanks but no thanks. I already have a custom 9in K&N cone filter. I also have edelbrock shorty headers, Complete Jacobs electronics ignition system, 9mm wires, Flowmaster dual exhaust, removed all the smog crap, etc, etc. I have it runnen pretty well. But I gotta having it with a V6, running 5 ins of lift and 31x10.50 ATs. With also all the roll bars, grill guards, 8 auxillary lights, plus haulen around a bunch of stereo equiptment including about 50lbs worth of subs abd its box. Wow, thats too much money in 1 truck. But it never stops! Always something bigger and better to do. Now its the interiors turn for a revamp. So any info on the gauge face plate?

Do you have a 1150watt@4ohm Earthquake Amp?
How do you pass the smog test?
Do your spark wires interfear with the radio?
Do you lose a lot of power on the low end with your free flowing exaust?
Bet it grunts pretty good....what year is it?

Hey man. The man of many questions... Ill see what I can answer!
1.)I am using a MTX 450W x2 amp. Dont know all the ohm stuff but it is strong as hell! And in conjunction with my sony head unit that puts out 50Wx4, the speakers are plenty powered.
2.)No smog test in FLA
3.)No the wires dont effect my radio. But Id never thought about it until now! radio works great. I also live in a rural area with all stations coming at least 40 miles.
4.)About the free exhaust. Yes. at first. But then I put in the Jacobs system, and the K&N and now it kicks right up. But still looking for more!
5)Its a 1990 and it does sound pretty damn good for a V6! I get alot of looks. And thats good in a redneck town like mine where old fords and chevys w/ 400ci motors crusin on 38-44s run the streets.
6.)About posting a pict. All i did was send my digital pict to the email they tell about here for picts. The site manager did the rest.

I was flipping through my 91 owners manual yesterday, the TACH is optional. The only thing different between auto and stick is the shift light.
