Subject: Painting question IP: Logged
Message: I want to make the underside of my truck look a little better so I plan on painting my leaf-spring packs, skid-plates, diff covers, etc. Is there any kind of special paint I should be using? Any tips on primers, stripping off existing paint, clear-coats, etc.?

Message: Por-15 is an excellent product. Just remove any loose rust and paint, scuff up what is left, then spray (or brush) it on. One bit of advice....cover yourself as completely as possible, once you get Por-15 on you, it will be on for some time :-). I used it on a Jeep I had and the underside looked great for some time.
