Subject: Wiring Help IP: Logged
Message: hi
i just bought some foglights and i was wondering if anyone knows where i can hook up the trigger wire? i need a wire that only has power when the key is in. the only wire that i know of is the one that goes to my headunit. is there another option that is easier or better? oh yea, i have a 2000 v6 cc. thanks alot!

Message: ck the fuse box for an open port, put a spade connector on the end of the wire and plug it in

Message: one other place ,would be the parking light feed. then they would work when you have the lights on and go off when you shut the lights off. worked great on my 89 ranger that way. from your question. just hook the relay trigger feed to one of the parking light feed wires. I didn't even need a switch, just turned the parking lights on when I wanted to use the driving lights. saves from drillin/cuttin holes in the dash for a switch. Just a thought...Bill
