 Subject: Torsion bar help ASAP

well i just started to put a few rounds in my torsion bars to level the truck off on my 2001 quad cab, and i realized i wanted to go 2 1/2 inches to level it off since the nose sits pretty far down. i remember reading about an inch and a half being about as far as you would want to push it. I do have brush guards on the front if that happens to make a difference. Im not the most truck smart guy in the world so any help would be great so i dont end up messing up my truck
