I was reading the august issue of car and driver today and came across an article about the new Nissan 350Z. It starts at $26,809 and has 287 horses. It does 0-60 in 5.4 seconds and 1/4 in 14.1 @ 101 MPH.
I think this car sounds pretty good especially for its price tag and it doesn't look all that bad. Although, the rear end looks like it came from a Porshe, which isnt really a bad thing.
Have any of you seen this article???
What do you think???

I haven't seen the artical but have seen it on Nissans' website. I have a friend looking at performance cars and he won't even look at it. dumb IMO. I like it alot.

Cool car but i'd just go with a used camaro SS or Z28 or something and go hunting them down. It's a little too yuppie-ish for my tastes.

I would never own one. Love the V-8 torque to much. He is looking at some acura for the same price. I asked him if he could stand it if I smoked him with my truck. Didn't get much of a answer.

The new "sporty" RSX has the same stock 1/4 mi. as the new Hyundai Tiburon. That's just pathetic. I'm looking forward to the new EVO coming to the states myself. Which of course means that the STI WRX has to follow. Now these are some mean machines. If he's looking in that price range, he has got to be considering the WRX!

No he wants luxury more than sports car. He had a eagle talon before and trashed it taking a corner to hot. Dumbass... I think that scared him out of the sports car thing and now wants status in a luxo sedan. If I could get by with a car I am not sure what I would buy. I like the insurance rates of the dakota. It is like double for a Firebird.
I like the concept of the new razor, simple and fast. Just my style. Still like the thought of bolting on a turbo and hunting down all these little sports cars. Some are very fast though.

I thought about the new Z but I didn't like Nissan's idea of having to "pre-buy" one rather than just putting down a deposit. And I've heard some dealers are gouging for 7K over list. No, I think I'll wait 'til the new Cobra hits the used car market. 390 hp beats 287.

Yeah that cobra was smacking down mid 12s wasn't it. Damn dodge is getting smoked in the car market. They better hurry up.

Dodge has the New Charger on it's way. Base engine is 3.7, option engine 4.7 and R/T gets the 5.7 Hemi!!!! I do not under stand why they offer so many engine choices! That would be like them ofering three choices in the Viper 3.7, 4.7 or the V10!!! What is the point why have a pu$$ a$$ Charger runing around with a 3.7 giveing the car a bad image.What was I thinking it that Damm C.A.F.E. standard again!!!! That is the only thing that I can think of that makes the the 3.7 in a Charger make sense.

Back to the 350Z.
Most of the test drivers say that the car would be allot better if it was a couple hundred pounds lighter.
In bringing back the "Z" they should have built one with the power and light weight that the original 240Z was famous for. For those that were driving in 72 know that the 240Z changed everything about sports cars. They were fun to drive and very fast.
