 Subject: leaky trany

I have a 2001 quad cab 4.7 auto and it has 9600 miles and it started leaking oil between the transmission and engine . There is a seal there ???? And I have read some posts from jj , that guys seems to be the trany guru , The trany needs to come off to replace the seal and should I take it to any dealer or investigate where to take it ????? thanks ..................

Yes there is a couple of seals in there.

Probably rear main seal. Surely you have heard of a warranty.Your truck should not leak oil!!! Take it to any DC dealer.
