How do you tell where it's coming from? I've checked underneath, I've checked the hoses, and reseviour. Can't figure it out. I went online in search of parts, I have the option of buying the pump and resevior or just the resevior. I don't know what I should get? Should I just replace everything? Anybody have suggestions as to a brand to use? Thanks.

Personal opinion is: if your going to go the trouble of replacing the tank, why not replace the pump at the same time?

Power steering leaks can be a pain to track down. As high-pressure washing isn't recommended in the engine compartment, I've found that a combination of engine degreaser & starting fluid will clean things up pretty nicely. Once you get everything cleaned up, it makes it a LOT easier to see where the first indications of returning seepage are coming from.

I had the same battle with my 2K QC a month ago. Ended up finding out that the rubber flap under the cap was allowing fluid to go by. So, when I was driving around, it would steadily trickle out from around the cap. The dealership replaced it without hesitation.

P.S. This really should fall under a "Natural Selection" clause, but here goes anyway...

Do not use starting fluid, or any other flammable fluids, around possible sources of ignition--to include, but not be limited to: lit cigarettes/cigars, open flames, operating BBQs, hot engine components (like the exhaust) etc., etc., blah, blah, blah, yaddie, yaddie, yadda....

Pretty bad when I feel that I need to CYA for something that should be common sense...*sigh*
