Message: Can't say for sure for daks, but it has been my experience, with other vehicles, that your ABS sensor (wire), is going bad. Have you recently gone over large bumps or pot holes? Sometimes, and again I cannot say for sure with a dak, because i haven't had to look yet, but sometimes the wire going to your front caliper, breaks, or stretches, causing an occasional light.

Message: I had this happen this past month with my Nissan (which was traded in for my Dakota). The ABS light came on from time to time around corners, then corners and bumps, then all the time. I didn't pay much attention until the truck had to have its tread mill emmissions inspection. . .NO REAR BRAKES! Aparently the light was letting me no there was a wee bit of a problem. - Jason
