I am going to be getting an alarm installed on
my truck and was wondering what you guys think
is the best?
I have the RC dak with manual windows and locks.
I am not even sure if they make alarms to acomodate these
now you know thats..................

Personaly my opinion is the compustar with the 2 way pager and 1/4 mile range. They also have one with a little better than a mile range available.

I got a code alarm surestart lx. I have a rc man windows and locks. I put power doorlock seloniods
in the doors so the keyless entry would work. The remote stsrt has great range. And it has an ajustable shock sensor. The only thing i didn't like was the hood switch. Its the same type that is in your door jam for the int lights. I put a mercury switch under the hood instead.

www.autoloc.com has a kit that includes material necessary for power door locks. The kit is relatively cheap. I however am thinking about getting a clifford alarm (best in the biz) at circuit city for 200 or so, and having them intall power locks at the same time for under 300 bucks.

I got the "evs 2" alarm from dodge its like 200$.
u can get the opional inside sensor for 130$.
and then I got my glock 23.

I'm also thinking about going Clifford or DEI and those are known to be some of the best. Too bad I don't have a Good Guys near me, it's only 600 mi. roughly to the closest one..

That pretty much rules out Clifford, though I swear by these alarms. Had one in my Trans Am and one in my Formula. Never a problem. Great Proxy sensor too.
1207 - Glock is a good alternative. though you would have to be in the vehicle too to use it! Unless you rig it up!
