In my case it means super long truck cause I put a 99 long box on a 2001 quad cab and it is long and sometimes hard to park

While I know this is a very old topic and I believe you all may have eaten lead paint chips as children...lol :) .....SLT stands for Special Luxury Trim. Such as chrome bumpers, chrome grille and head light trim, and chrome rims. For some odd reason they didn't have the SLT come with the chrome mirrors...it would have been a nice touch. :(

SLT= Something Like That
SLT is the abbreviation for Standard Truck wih luxury but with reverse lettering. Remeber; ST=Standard Truck.

ST does indeed stand fro Standard Truck. I guess SLT might stand for Standard Luxury Truck Or Special.

SLT is of course on the full size too.I got a '99 Dakota Sport 4x4 excab 5.2 auto,it is BLACK ON BLACK with the red lettering "Dakota Sport",no chrome...looks killer!
