hey,.. uhh.. my brother had a 97,.. and the stupid little hand thingy that you had to press for the center consol was different,.. it had little bumps on it compared to my rounded off handle (mine is 98). oh,.. and also... there is a problem with the lights nob coming off in your hand in the 97's, and 98's,... I think they changed that to a turn switch nob thingy in 99... everyone out there,.. correct me if I'm wrong... thanks

Thats right..the 99 has a turn type switch with a pull out feature for the fog lights. Works good..last a long time.
