Subject: best wax ? IP: Logged
Message: '92, clear coat, ELECTRIC BLUE; Begining to notice a few, dime- sized flakings of paint on the roof .What's the best wax/solution/'stuff', whatever;(there're so many products on the market, one is barraged with so many 'info-merchals' that it's near impossible to choose a product that'll protect the finish. Anyone have any GOOD product references? [ Being in Tucson, I'm particularly concerned about the SUN,... U V Rays] ?? tHANKS, lARRY

Message: Go to your local Dodge dealer and ask for Mopar One Step Wax, works great. As for the flaking, sounds like clear coat coming off.

Message: Meguirs or Zymol. Both are considered the best wax. Meguris Gold Class Liquid is my fav. haven't used zymol yet but am about to try. from what i've heard and seen, both waxed are awsome.

I tried the Zaino products (Z1, 2 bottles of Z5, Z2, Z6 and Z7 last summer and was unimpressed with the results.
I have since switched over to Meguire's and can tell no difference. Both products have the same high gloss finish and both last about the same time.
And believe me when I say I spend a lot of time looking at diffrent angles and different lighting to see how my Dak looks.
Here's the Meguire's site:
