In my '99 the door speakers are "oversized" 6.5 and rear are 5 1/2. You can use regular 6.5 in the door, but you need to make a "template" out of 1/4" plywood or something.

Message: Yeah, what he said =)
I originally put my 6.5's on top of the plastic ring that is on the factory speakers, but I ordered the foam baffles and had to do something diff, so I made a wood thing, spray painted it black, put the baffle and speaker on it, then used self drilling screws and put it in the old opening. I have pics on my site if you want to see.
IMHO, don't waste money on rear speakers.. they are a pain in the ass to put in, and I can barely hear mine. I have a kenwood 40x4 running mine, and they are still not loud. I would leave the stocks in the rear and get some kick panels for some seperates up front, and put in a 8" mid bass in the stock opening =) The only reason I replaced the rears, is because I got my speakers on ebay, and they guy didn't sell the 5.25's and offered them to me as a package price.
