Subject: Who is the tire and suspension expert? IP: Logged
Message: I have a 98 CC...went from 15" B.F. Goodrich tires on stock wheels. Went to 16" Generals on ASA TRS wheels. Was getting good ride and handling with the 15 inchers...now the 16's seem to be very squirrly and feels like the backend wants to break loose with every little bump in the road. i have just over 85K miles on it too. Is there anyone who has any opinions or comments about this? Please help.

Message: Worn Shocks. If you have over 85K on your truck and have never changed the shocks....time to do it.

Message: first and formaost, have you changed your shocks in those 85k, and if you did what kind did you put on. The 15", 50, 60, 70s, what size are they. The new 16s I see that in your discription of your ride that they are 65s generals. What rating are they v,h,s.. The reason why I am asking the rating is that if they are rated as a performance tire or high perf tire, the side wall will be a little stiffer on the high perf tire. Just to give you an example, when I have my ta's on my truck and take turn pretty hard I can fell the tire starting to fold over. Now when I have the Kuhmos on it, flat as hell on the corners. And last but not least make sure your air pressure on your tires are right. On the ta's I run 35 frt, and 32 rear. On the Kuhmos I tend to go a little higher 37frt and 34 rear. If you have any more suspention ?s give me an e-mail. goo luck.

Message: They are H rated tires and the pressure is at 32 psi right now. I am having it lowered 3/4 in the next month or so, and shocks are on the list already.
