I just changed my fluid in the T/case. It was heavly oxidized! It had started to change to a brown color at 16,000 miles and it was starting to smell bad. Mine only took about 1.2 quarts before it was flowing out of the fill hole. This is something we should definately keep an eye on!!! With that little capacity it can not tolerate very many miles before it is no longer doing it's job.There is no way in H$LL that this can go 37,000 miles. It is listed every 37,000 miles on both schedules! I would highly recomend that synthetic fluids we only use synthetic ATF in this application and that it be serviced more freg. then the service manual recommends!!!! See Ya Guys!!!

Well today I read a TSB that stated that color and smell is not an indicator of ATF+4's condition. It stated that the color in ATF+4 is temporary and not to use smell as an indicator either.
