You know that little cap that goes into the middle of our rims? The one with the Ram head on it? Well, tomorrow I am about to replace one...the same one...for the FOURTH TIME!! Has anyone else ever had this happen, that cap falling out? I was thinking of either getting the rubber on the current rim mounted on my spare rim, or putting a tiny bit of clear silicone around the cap before i put it back in the rim...just enough that it will stay in the rim, but not too much that i cant get it out if i need to. Any suggestions?

That's a bit odd. I haven't heard of that happening. Hopefully, the silicone idea will work. If you have a full size spare, just pay 20 bucks and have the tire swapped and put the spare wheel with the old tire back on.
Just an idea.

I've lost the same one from the same rim twice luckily I found it both times in my driveway I used silicone on it and it has stayed in place

Well, hopefully, I have got the problem fixed. Went to WalMart today and bought some super strength glue stuff, and really lopped it on the back of the clips on that little cap. Its been over 2 RR crossings and the car wash, and no problems yet :-)

i kept having that problem, so i solved it very easily, i simply went to town and bought new rims and tires, problem solved

Yeah, I wanna get new rims, but that is for next summer i think. That and a sunroof. I like the factory rims well enough, but the fact of that stupid cap falling out is enough to change my mind. I do think that chrome rims would look really nice on my Dak though. Need $$$....donations excepted ;-)

I lost one 2x on my rear passanger side. I got tired of stealing them from your truck so I went and got one from the dealer. Just kidding. I havent replaced mine. the last one was a dealer replacement. how much do they cost anyway
