I don't own a Dakota yet, but I plan on ordering a 2003. I heard that the redesign has been delayed, is this true? I hope so because I like the current bodystyle.

Yupp, just small things like an off road package of some sort, the SXT doesn't look ghetto -- colours actually match -- and all wheel disc brakes, which is my personal favourite! I wish I had all wheel disc brakes...

allright now, i'm not so sure i would go that far! i must say that in my opinion, in its current incarnation, the SXT package is certainly not ghetto...but i guess i'm biased what with my SXT and its charcoal on black paint scheme.

Love the color scheme on my SXT. The graphite compliments the Dark Garnet red nicely. With the mirrors black and the tonneau black, it almost looks like the color design was planned that way. I like the looks. the graphite doesn't go well with some of the other colors though. i'll admit that.

Black, garnet red, white, and patriot blue.
those are the colors that the SXT looks good on.
I love my Patriot blue CC 4x2 SXT. I put a matching Leer top on it, and it looks great. And i have less than 18,5 in the thing. I really dont think that you can get a better truck for your money than a V6 cc dak.
But, I would have still bought it if it was in the '03 trim, with the "sport" style matching flares / grill.

sxt also looks fine in graphite obviously. then it all looks color matched!

No, the graphite on all the colours to me was kinda ghetto of them. I personally thought it looked terrible, but as you can see, they changed that -- by sources. I guess you could get it in graphite, which is what I wish I had gotten, but I didn't know about the colour yet. I ordered my truck before they were even on the lots..

My mom's 02' Patriot Blue SXT Durango looks great with the graphite flares, front faschia and rear bumper in my opinion. It's just like a two tone paint job which I'm sure most of you geezers had on one of your vehicles in the past when they ALL came like that, you know puke green on mustard in the 70's. Not only does it have the 16 inch alloys with the low pro Goodyears, rear sway bar (wheel, tire and handling package) but a roof rack, 4.7, and CD player.
In closing: opinions are like a-holes, everyone has one, but that doesn't mean we all want to see yours.

Xplikt - I agree with you about opinions. To each their own. People do to their trucks what makes them happy and buy what they feel look nice to them. Not everyone will agree but guess what? No need to blast someone for it if they aren't criticizing you to begin with. Personally, I agree with eddie that the graphite looks fine with the Patriot Blue color. Others may not agree. but eddie, c'mon, no need for that closing statement. By your own words then, nobody wants to see your opinion either then right?

I kind of like the graphite grill and bumper on my truck. I don't really care for the graphite fender flares though. I'll looking to buy some Patriot Blue ones soon.
