Since our damn state is so fed up and the budget has not been signed we have no work!!! It doesnt effect me because I am the manager but I have had two lay off 5 guys which really didnt bother me because they were slackers but I still have 18 guys to keep busy.Since there is no work for the next three days the owner and myself came up with the idea to pay these guys 8 hours a day to go on a trip to bodega bay for two days and go fishin and drinkin ...........until we can get a little more work. But if you dont go you dont get paid and have to stay at home. Do you think this is cruel?????????

I work for a large company and the ceo/exowner. Has a nice cabin in canada once year he takes five guys and 2 supers up for a 4 day trip of drinking cards fishing and the last day we have to get the cabin rdy for winter put 4 boats in sheds winterize cabin all work takes less then 4 hour hes been doing it for 30 years

I back and the trip was nice besides the fact that I now look like a lobster from a bad sunburn. I cant beleive how many guys did not go because of there girlfriends or wifes. They would of only been gone for like 8 hours that they would normally be seen.Too bad they had three days off with no pay and all the others only got one day pay off because they went.
