I have a 99 2wd Dak. I get the infamous popping noise when making left hand turns only. I have had the ball joints checked and the bushings checked on the control arm. The dealer says they are ok.

I was undeneath my truck today and was noticing the the bump stop is hitting the frame on the passenger side. But is not hitting the frame on the drivers side. Is this normal for the bump stop to be hitting the frame?

Could this be the clunking/popping noise/sensation that I am getting from my Dak?

I was always told that if the bump stops are hitting the frame that you need new springs. Or atleast that is what I am told from the mechanics at the trucking firm I work for say.

I do not do any off roading. I mainly just do city and some highway driving.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
