Subject: clear corners?!? IP: Logged
Message: I heard of a guy taking a heat gun to his headlights to get the amber color out of them for his own made clear corners. Can you do that? Just take a heat gun and melt off the amber color and just throw in an amber bulb and you got yourself some homemade clear corners?

Message: The amber color is mixed into the plastic at time the stock lenses are made, No way can a heat gun or anything else remove the amber color.

Message: The color is impregenated into the plastic. Applying heat to transparent plastic at heat-gun temperatures will fog and age the plastic. Yes, Ebay has the best deal on clear-corner lenses.
