I heard of a guy taking a heat gun to his headlights to get the amber color out of them for his own made clear corners. Can you do that? Just take a heat gun and melt off the amber color and just throw in an amber bulb and you got yourself some homemade clear corners?

The amber color is mixed into the plastic at time the stock lenses are made, No way can a heat gun or anything else remove the amber color.

The color is impregenated into the plastic. Applying heat to transparent plastic at heat-gun temperatures will fog and age the plastic. Yes, Ebay has the best deal on clear-corner lenses.
