Subject: Need Help w/ 180 t-stat IP: Logged
Message: Installed new Robertshaw 180 thermostat. Added coolant back in. Started truck to warm up and check coolant level. After 10 mins temp gauge pegged all the way to the right. But engine not hot. Do I need to reset pcm? THe new t-stat fit in the housing right. I did notch on new t-stat and fit rubber o ring back on. Matched up notch in housing before putting back on. I'm not sure what's up. Any suggestions??
Also want to remove clutch fan. Any tips on holding pulley while trying to break nut free??
Thanks much for any help!!

Message: DOH!!!! Just call me Homer!! Still didn't have enough coolant. Runs fine now. Temp gauge is positvely reading lower. I though I had really f**ked up. Just a little brain fart. I can see most of the 2 to the right of needle from the 210 mark. That's got to be close 180 degrees.
