Same deal here in West Virginia. The cops are crawling everywhere. In my local town they like picking on young guys with exhaust, tinted windows, lift, light covers, etc. They have "there" town laws, whether it is state legal or not. PRICKS!!

Hell, I'm no spring chicken and they pick on me all the time.
The thing that chaps my biskets the most is when they pull you over and then in the same sentence "I'm not going to write you a ticket, how fast is this thing" And then they say "you don't look like a drag racer". AHHHHH
Total misuse of authority.

I dont have to worry about the cops. I havent drove my dak in 3 months. I had a dirt bike accident and broke both ankles. one good thing came out of all of this i havent got a speeding ticket in 3 months.
I MISS DRIVING MY TRUCK!!!!!!!!!!!

Investment Banker by day ... Amsoil Dealer by night. I work in public finance (i.e. municipal finance). During the go-go years of the 1990's city's racked up hugh amounts of debt (borrow, borrow, borrow) to facilitate all sorts of projects (some necessary - some not... Arena's, Sports Centers, Convention Centers, etc.). They justified expanding their spending limits and they planned their budgets quite like the dot-coms ... expecting the good times to last forever.
Now the bills are coming due.
With the slowing economy, and the reduction of tax receipts, the cities are looking for revenue from every possible source ... including writing more tickets. I live in NYC and starting tomorrow it is the end of plastics recycling (saves the city $40 Million per year) and goodbye to free Sunday street parking -- to attempt to cover a $5 Billion (with a B)annual budget deficit.
I've received three tickets lately for not wearing a seatbelt. Hell, speed limit for traffic in the city is 30 mph. I don't feel like wearing a seatbelt at those low speeds, but at $55 per ticket I just might start.
Holidays are upcoming (4th of July).
Before you set out on that long drive be sure to check all your fluids.

New state law here in Tx if your not wearing a seatbelt its an automatic $250. That'll hit ya where it hurts.
