Message: Hey everyone,
I was wondering if anyone could help me diagnose a small problem with my 97 Dak. When turning and under acceleration of any kind there is a popping sound coming from the rear of the truck. It's a fairly light popping that is really noticable in a left hand turn. I would say the sound occurs about 5 times per second as I am turning normally and accelerating as far as desribing how fast the popping is. I hope that's all the info you need and hope you can give me a better idea of what is goin on before I go digging too deep into it. Thanks in advance for your time and response.

Message: does it do it when you go up an incline such as a drive way? sounds to me like the body mounts. There seems to be a problem with them in the earlier genIIIs

Message: Do you have a limited slip differential ?
Could be a fluid problem if so.
