The fog lamps both mysteriously went out on me at the same time. A little trouble shooting led me back to the switch. I called the dealer and they wanted $36.50 for a new one.
I pulled it out and checked the continuity between the pins of the 2 pin connector. They should ring together w/ the fog lamps on. If not, push in the tabs holding the back on and carefully pull the back off. You don't need to take it all apart, just pull the back off. Be careful if you do pull it all apart; and hold it w/ the switch down. There should be a copper "contact wing" on the end of the knob stem. This is for the fog lamps, and isn't secured very well. Get it back in place and melt the plastic back down to secure it, and voila! Recheck the continuity and you should be good to go.
