Message: Price should never be a factor when doing home oil changes. My recomendation is Mobile1 synthetic oil 10W-30, and the Mobile1 filter M-204. But the oil will be about $4.50 a qt, or $18 for a 5-qt jug at WalMart. The filter has to be bought at a parts store and usually runs around $11. DO NOT run Pennzoil, or Quacker STate oil. If you want to use regualr oil, get the Castrol GTX. And stay far away from FRAM filters as well. Purolator is supposed to be a decent filter if you can find them.

If cost is a factor you don't love your truck.
A vehicle is usually the second largest investment
a person makes, Home Purchase being the first.

Message: AC/DELCO is a good place to start! If you can afford more look at Baldwin, Hastings, Pure One,and Mobile 1. If you are useing regular oil then stick with Castrol or Havoline and nothing less then 10w30.

Message: If I had the money to buy a new DAKOTA R/T 5.9 then I would be using the AMSOIL for sure.
The fuel economy increase alone will pay for the oil.
Here is what you need:
1 case of AMSOIL 10w-30 (or 0w-30, 5w-30)
1 AMSOIL SDF-42 oil filter (buy two if you want to save $$)
1 drain pan (round or square)
1 set of basic hand tools (your friend should have them)
1 oil filter wrench (cap or band type)
1 set of car/truck ramps (I prefer the RHINO)
1 pair of cover alls (you don't want to get dirty do ya?)
1 pair of HOOTER'S girls (to keep you from getting lonely)
1 Keg of beer (you want to get the HOOTER'S girls DRUNK don't you?)
LOL

Message: I do not have a big fat belly, I just needed more room under the truck so that those HOOTER'S girls would have more room to move around and up and down !
