Message: I was wondering... Since they recently redesigned the Ram, are they gonna change the Dakota too..? If so, when..? Some pics would be great.
Thanks.

Message: They had been working on a redesign that would continue the combined Dakota/Durango chassis. Problem was, it ended up being near the same size as the RAM, so they dropped the Dakota off and made it a Durango only chassis. There are some rumours of a new Dakota in the works, but it's a few years off. More than likely we'll be seeing the current chassis and style adapted to the new engines for now, kind of a Dakota Generation III and a half.
No complaints from me, since I hear that the new Dakota will have that massive front grill that the new Rams have. I don't care for that, seems out of proportion with the rest of the truck.

Message: Todd, I agree with you. The new front end style of the Ram's are ugly. I am not sure what DC was doing when they decided it was time to redesign the front end but someone surely had to be on drugs.
Just my 2 cents worth...

Message: I like it, but I thought the front end on my dakota had bug issues. I can picture it now, front end and mirrors are always full of insects but the rest of the truck is perfectly clean. Maybe it helps cool it down? ; )

Message: thats the M-80, i seriously doubt the new dakota will look anything that retro, there have been many concepts, did you ever see the 1990 or 1989 viper concept, it looks much different from the current 94-002 viper, so dont fret about the looks that much
