Subject: Bernd! Help me out! IP: Logged
Message: Hey Bernd, Nicholas here, Called you first thing this morning and asked you a million questions. Thanks for all that info as well! But I forgot the name of that stuff you told me to use to clean my engine bay! I was going to call, but its too late now, and I wanna do it this weekend if possable! Thanks man!
BTW, I havnt pulled it yet, but is the IAT threaded on the 2001 4.7? I don't think it would be because of the way you described it coming out. But...... I was thinking of drilling a hole on the wall of the Airaid and throwing it there.. If your standing in the front of the truck looking into the engine bay, intakes on the left. 3 walls, I was going for the wall furthest to the back. So its pointing in towards the filter. That a good place for it? But how the hell would I secure it there?
Thanks man!

Message: Buy an IAT adjuster for a 5.9 (threaded) and install it into the intake. You can then leave the twist lock IAT adjuster in place and just plug in to the relocated one.
This way you can switch it back if you need to go to the dealer.

Message: whats the difference between the IAT for the 4.7 and the 5.9? Same sensor ones just threaded, or is there something else? I called the dealer to ask if it would void my warrenty, and they said it wouldnt, So thats cool. But, if theres not going to be a difference in the 5.9 and 4.7 sensor, depending on the price, I will go with the 5.9. But wouldnt I also have to cap off the plug on the sensor that remains in the engine itself?
