The dealer wanted over $100 to install an under
the hood light in my '01 Dak. I declined. Where
can I get an OEM light for cheaper? Used? What

Might be a "make-it-yourself" thing. Check your local auto parts store, sometimes they have a department called "help accessories". This usually contains a wide assortment of odd things that people need but have a hard time finding. By the way, (you've probably thought of this) if you make it yourself, make sure you find one that shuts off when the hood closes.
