Message: i got involved in post about fan install, and so i asked the question would it be worth replacing my clutch fan which is direct drive and not viscous cause i dont have air conditioning. i read several posts that stated one accidentally touched his viscous fan and it slowed down, and another said he touched his fan on purpose to slow it down. my word of caution is dont stick ur hand on the fan cause with mine u could receive serious injury. there are a few ppl that dont realize that non a/c trks have direct drive fans not viscous. at least in yrs 87 thru 96.

Message: i couldn't agree more, thats why i posted this either these ppl are messed up or whatever but whatever the reason its scarey, so i posted it. i guess ignorance is an excuse so i clarify what ppl said they didn't know. that way i feel better if someone does something foolish, and later says i didn't know.

Message: NO NO NO... you are supposed to lean over the engine from the FRONT while wearing a nice necktie. Those are OK to put into the fan.
--
Once saw three 'dudes' leaning over their buddies 'ride', and one of them was wearing this massive gold chain. Guess he leaned a little too far and the chain got snagged by the fan. Luckily the clasp broke before he was pulled into the fan. Wasted the chain, the fanblade, two pullies and took out all of the belts.
That's about as smart as drilling things freehand while wearing loose, long sleeve jacket. Cuff of the jacket gets into the drill, strangles your arm as the material gets sucked into drillbit.
