I'm going to try and be there the 5th. If I do come, I'll probably bring the wife and 4 kids.
Has anyone checked to make sure there is not a scheduled event at the race track on the 4th of July weekend?
I've got to see if these roller rockers made a difference.
FYI - You can't race in shorts. Bring some overalls or long pants to wear over your shorts because it is hot.

Just checked thier web site and the fifth is good. When I fist started going I wore shorts one time and I didn't get to run. :( This is good, it would be cool if we could start a dakota USA chapter in Houston if there is enough participation.....................

R/Truck is the man with the plan, He seems to be the best organizer out of the bunch. I work about 5 miles from the track so I will go strait there from work and be there about 4:30.

O.K. fellows heres the plan
12:00 we will be installing 2-M1 intakes, and a few other minor installs
2-4 mass BBQ and chill out, maybe even a dip in the pool
5-10:30 we race at the track, there will be Dakotas everywhere, so just find one and get the scoop. You can watch, race, or just hang out with us in the pits.
if you would like to come to the install/party please email me: jimmortgage@hotmail.com ,you will have to pitch in for food if you want to eat.
otherwise be at the track that night (july 5th)

The install party sounds like a good time!! I'll probably have to work Friday AM so I'll miss it. Hopefully I'll see you at the track Friday Night. Sounds like you have organized quite a few Daks to go. This time I want to spend more time lurking under hoods.
Plus, I want to see how the RRs effect my 1/4 numbers. Have you done anything to your truck since your last visit to Houston Raceway?
I finally got around to setting my TPS this morning. It was at .45 and I set it to .71. It did set a engine code P0123 (TPS voltage too high). I reset the Computer and hopefully it won't come back. Is this a good setting (.71)?
If you have an accurate volt meter would you mind bringing it Friday Night? I would like to compare my volt meter reading with a different one.
I still have your cell number. I'll try to call you Friday to check on the action.

Your welcome to come out to the pre-race party if you can. It will be cool to see 14 R/Ts in a caravan going down the highway. Yes, with there being so many Dakotas at the track we should have plenty of time to lurk around. I can bring my multi-meter to the track.
I have installed a few things since last time:
Crane Ignition
M1 turtle
Exhuast Cut-out
BFG Tires
Home-brew cold air induction
Plus I will be removing about 200lbs from the truck.

How much improvement do you expect as a result of the cut out? I may do that one of these days.
What kind of cold air induction did you "brew"?For some reason, I thought you had the K&N FIPK. If not, did you know I have an extra K&N air tube?

There will be a couple of other Dakotas there (non-R/T) that are from this forum. This is not a R/T meet, it just so happens that most of them have one. Come on out!
Exhaust cut-out is $30 from summit and it's supposed to be good for 2-3 tenths.
I do have the K&N FIPK, but I spruced it up. Lurk around my truck and I'll show you.
Angela loves driving my truck but I think it would be dangerous to get her to hooked on the horsepower thing. She drives fast enough in her V-6 truck now!

It's really not hard to find people at that track. Drive around the pit area and look for a group of Dakotas (I drive a Black CC R/T) and just join in. If you can't find us (which you will) your welcome to call me. I will email you my cell number.

It sounds like there will be close to 20 Daks there.
If you can, kinda spread out and "reserve" an area for the late comers. I'm pretty sure I will be there with my wife. I may bring some of the kids as well.
