Message: Anybody the Sacto,Ca area had their truck smog checked with modifications yet? Mine's due in Sept. and I'd like a head start if there's anything I need to be aware of.
So far I've got,3923 plugs,V8 TB,IAT adjuster(will turn off),180 therm,JBA wires,B/W cap& rotor,Vortec muffler,Airaid,TPS @.75 and electric fan.
Any suggestions or other info to watch for would be greatly appreaciated

Message: You should be ok. The only thing that I can see is the airaid if anything. Cali, from what I remember, was bad about air cleaners.

Message: The colder plugs thermostat and highflow cat is probably what is hurting you at the smog test's. This is just a guess though. We always ran two pints of B-12 Chemtool through the fuel tank before going for a smog test. It helps clean the carbon off the pistons, valves, EGR valve and the PCV. It also helps to have the right head range plugs in. I do not know if the 3923 are right for your or not but they are colder then OEM for my engine. I have never seen a filter of oversived TB hurt anyone. Any devives that have have Carb exemption number should have the sticker under your hood. I have not lived in Ca. in years. My Moms entire family lives in Sunny Vale and some of my Dads relatives live in San Deago(sp). I agree that california emmisions are crazy!!! I would rather see all power plants and factorys running cat. converters and meeting Fed. car emmision standard then see car standards get any tougher!!!!

Message: yeah if i changed the plugs, T-stat, and cat back to stock, i would have passed with better results.
