well guys and girls, went down to Speedtweaks yesterday (haha, i live in texas) and boy was it a blast. Bernd and Tom are some of the best guys to hang out with. Bernd helped my figure out whats wrong with my auto by running a scanner while the truck was mobile and gave some suggestions (will post about it on v6 board). He sold me some trash, gave me some stickers, took pictures of our trucks (got me some pics of the twin turbo, too....shhhhhhh). All in all it was a great day. Bernd and i must have done the fastest fuel injector swap on a V6 dak.... he and I put his 24# injectors on his truck in 5 minutes! We also put them on Toms truck but that took a little longer (8 cylinders and dirty). We also relocated my IAT to the fender and got one big ass speedtweaks sticker on the window. and thanx for letting me work on some trucks (which i really like doing), too bad only the rc got opened and not the cr! hehehe

Did you see any bats?
Zaurusman helped me tune up my truck last week, as
well as put the traction bars on. We made a
valiant attempt to change the shocks, but ran out
of time (and patience!) dayum! those top nuts are
a pain.
I agree with you - working on trucks is a lot of
fun! :)

Hey Intense, was that you at Speedtweaks on Friday? (The blue RC v6 w/black rims?- younger guy) I meant to tell you that was a sweet ride! (I feel bad cause I forgot your name man.)
This is Andy,,I had the CC graphite 4.7 - they lowered mine 2/2 and did the tune up. If you had a hand in any of it- Graci. I love the ride!
Next mod will be the HO cams, and hopefully Speedtweaks will have their flash ready by then.
Great guys out there. Definite future customer here!

Yessir that was me.... thanx for the compliment (and it was on thursday ;-)
I didnt do anything on your truck.... just handed the shocks to bernd. Thats a sweet ride you have, especially that it dynoed at 220 completly stock.
I would like my truck to be able to get 200 at the wheels naturally aspirated and then throw on some go go juice or s/c or turbo.

Speedtweaks should organize a little get together every month or so,,just for the heck of it! Start a club or something,,would be interesting.
Greg- you don't know they will be doing comp flashes do you?
For those of you in the Austin area,,AVIOD THE ALLIGATOR GRILL (the one off of 360/2222)! Bout sent me to the hospital last night - after eating one of the worst chicken fried steaks in my life!

I hope to get down there again in August,
hopefully to visit Speedtweaks again, and almost
definitely to get to Ennis again.
I've got a really cool mechanic here. He and his
dad are long time, well respected members of the
local hot rod community. They invited me to go
racing with them next weekend, and to meet a
friend of theirs, the fastest dak guy in this
province.
It sure would be cool if there were more of you
dak guys around here.

Lesley- ground chuck fried up like chicken. Generally quite delicious- never get them at some yuppy diner. I'm still kick'n the pain! Missed a date last night, and have been watching the 'Speed' channel all day :( Hey did you get your truck lowered yet?
Intense- I'll still give it a try when it's available (as long as it's reasonable). Otherwise I'm gonna give the ASE chip a try later this summer. I'll probably pony-up the cash for some new cams though prior. (and eventually pay off my credit cards!) How old are ya Greg? I was about to ask if you should be in school!

thanx a lot! i guess since i had a beard all through high school and now that i shave i shoulda expected that! i am 20 years old!
bernd didnt give me a direct quote on the price of the flash but said it would be a hellava lot cheaper than leach.

The custom flash will be a more agressive (but not totally custom like Mike Leach's).
We've been throwing the idea around for a once a month meet (either the first or third weekend of each month) but may just have it once every other month. Don't know yet....but the parking lot is big enough.
