The engines don't have redlines anymore.
They are speed governed.

I didn't know that. It seems odd that they don't show you the redline. You mean when I say redline to my kids someday they won't know what it means? lol

I am not sure why there is no redline but I think it has to do with there being a speed governor. I think it is somewhere around 97 for some trucks and 107 for others.
I had a f150 rental a few years back that didn't have a redline either. That was the first time I had seen it. Maybe the engines can now rev harder.?

Yeah, I couldn't get the dakquad account to work, so I changed my moniker to dak-quack.
Took a spin at lunchtime and found the revlimiter at 6,000 rpms. The rev-limiter and speed governor are two separate things, each limiting it's own.
It's just weird that they don't show you the redline on the tach gauge face, that's all.
