Hey, the guys from the RT Dakota Club had a great time in Tucson this past weekend, and want to run some more 1/4 passes (In Cali).

We will be running at Carlsbad Raceway, in Carlsbad, CA. Planned on July 6th--- but because it will most likely be a major holiday weekend, we have decided to run on the 13th of July.

ALL Dakota enthusiats are invited-- Looking at having a bunch of people over at my place on Friday Night, the 12th of July. I don't have a big place, but we can fit a few Dakotas on the lawn, street, etc. For out of towner's there's a few motels close by to both the track (expensive) and near my place (not so bad).

Saturday night after the racing is over we will hit a restaurant close by-- or head back to my place and have a BBQ.

If you haven't run the 1/4 mi-- this is the time to do it.

ALSO-- We, Dakota owners, need to plan on attending the Truckin! Nationals in Chandler AZ (PHX) in October. I have attended the first 3 events, and this will be my 4th... If it weren't for the RT guys in PHX the last 2 years, there wouldn't be any drag racing in the event. DAKOTAS won every class there was (including the 'import car' class-- won by a RT owner who brought his Buick Grand National, as his RT was going under the knife!!!) Mark you calender--- We will be reserving a block of rooms in Chandler for the event--- ANY DAKOTA is better than a Ford ANYday of the week ! :P

I'll see what I can do about making both events. We ended up spending way too much before and during the nats so money may be too tight for the July drags in Carlsbad.

Maybe this October they won't let the IDRC turn the Truckin' show into imports-r-us. I was also disappointed by the fact that out of all the magazines that covered the event, only two photos showed up of the drags side, and of course they were of Chevys.
