It is sad to say but the Dakota Nationals that was to be held June 14th 15th and16th at Gateway International will not go on as planed. I just talk to the Track tonight and they droped the ball on getting the contract out so we could plan the event. They said that they might be able to give us a new date in September around the 15th or so and will now more in a few days. As it stands we will have a National Event sometime this year. We have lots of people that want to attend last count it was over 120 or so Dakotas. We also have many sponsors linedup waiting on the date change too. Stuff will be donated by some sponsors to be giving away at the meet and I will be looking for more. We have worked hard on getting the event underway and will continue to do so, so don't give up yet. More than likely it will be at Gateway International in September. I will let everyone know ASAP of the Date change. Also check speedtweaks.net under upcoming events for updates or to add your name to the long list of people that want to attend.

Hey Chris,
You might want to try to keep up with the messages re: Dakota USA event... It's been asked around here, and other forums for the last 3 months if it were still a go, and no response or anything from what I can tell.
People still plan on attending the track that day, though informal, it's a good start at getting momentum.
Not busting your chops, so don't take it that way (honest). It's a large undertaking to get something off the ground, I know, was just at the 3rd annual National Dakota RT meet in Tucson. Things started 9 months ago to get 3 days to come off without a hitch.
Good luck, it'll be worth the effort (I can help some with sponsorship prizes/discounts, etc if you want-- I'm a VERY small fry in the world of aftermarket, but offer great prices on great products-- plus have a good alliance with other distributors).

Thanks Sam, I know yoiu have been around a while and I have got some good advive frome ya on my last truck. It was all going good until the track messed up. We tried to call them 100 time in the past 6 months then out of the blue they call a week before the event. The guy at the track has been pussing it there too and said he had a overwelmign response and really wants to help get this going. This is the first time I have ever tryed this so we will see how it goes. I'll let ya know what I find out and put ya down as a sponsor if ya want. We have the dealer ship and the dealer Assocation backing us too. It will be big once it happens we were looking at over 120 Dakotas. I'll try to keep up better I have been working my ass off at my day job (well night job right now) so I hope things get back to the norm soon so I can catch up with everything.

Yeah...if you do some research you will see that I have been asking if this thing was going to be a go for the last couple of months...no answer...not trying to sound like an a$$hole but oh well. Who (President Dakota USA) plans a national meet and doesn't inform anyone on the details until 2 days before the show that its been canceled when hundreds of people have said that they were gonna be there. Luckily I pulled my vacation back when I posted the final post I had concerning this meet a couple weeks ago..."F* ck it"
