Subject: Bedliner Removal IP: Logged
Message: I have the factory Mopar Bedliner (under the rail) in my 2002 Dakota. If I knew then what I know now, I would have gotten a spray in. However, for now, I'll have to deal. Here's my question. How simple is it to remove the bedliner? I see the 2 "screws" (more like fasteners) near the tailgate. Is it secured in any other spot or does it just simply sit in there. I would imagine you would have to do some bending of the sides to get it out from under the bed rail. I just wanted to know before I start pulling it out. It gets so dirty under there, I wanted to clean out the bed and then Zaino (for durability purposes) it up before I put the bedliner back in. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot.

Message: try and do this in the sunlight or a hotter day, it'll make things much easier. Take out all the screws, then drop the tail gate, while standing on the tail gate grab the edge of the bedliner where it meets the tail gate. and lift. this will buckle the sides in. Have someone help you keep the sides from going back under the rails. that's it. there might be some foam underneath taped down to your bed for vibrations, just wax around it.
good luck

Message: No, I don't, I just traded an s-10 in for my Dakota. and the s-10 had a drop in. after seeing how much damage it did and how awesome the line-x's were I didn't even waste my time.
I used to be a Chrysler tech back when I was in college, I put a couple in (with help of coarse)
I hope the directions were understanding

Message: I understood them. Thanks. It seems to me that it SHOULD be simple and that it's just a big piece of plastic that simply sits in there. How much did your Line-X run? Does it look nice?
