I read the test in T.T and other than what was posted on the Dyno. I thought it was a pretty much fair test. Of course they did compliment the dodge with the best ride quality and also like there spacey interior. Toyota and Ford likes to aspriate there motor which means you can't expect valves and gaskests to fatigue out much quicker
You have to respect that fact that the Dakota dosn't need a supercharger in order for you to get the seat of your paints feel.
The biggest complaint with 360 is what is matted to it (regardless of Dodge Truck). The 46RE or A510 is nothing like the toruqe flite of old. If you read what C.E Mark Willams wrote; the biggest complaint was that the harder you pull the motor the more the tranny would shift in order to keep up the speed. The Ford Lightning with its HD 4R100 would hold 2nd and third longer than the Dodge tranny would.
Also T.T stated in there in the latter issue they took the truck to the Dodge Dealer because the toruqe converter was slipping "thats why you had seen such low numbers on the dyno". But of course the dealer couldn't find nothing wrong with it.
