Subject: Burning Coolant smell IP: Logged
Message: I went to the beach the other day and the guy parked next to me said it smelled lie I was burning coolant. The other day I thought I also smelled something, very faint though.
Any reasons why it would be? Is it running too hot? My guage is still 1/4 from cool most of the time, but I haven't checked the level yet under the hood.
Thanks,

Message: You might want to check and see if a hose is cracked and leaking on the engine... use a flashlight and look for anything that looks bright green (antifreeze)

Message: OK - thanks guys. I'll check the hose later. I do have a body lift, and I know it was on tight, but maybe I should invest in a longer one and keep it away from the fan ;-)
What's worse is, I had to be told this by a guy in a Ford Ranger...ugh.
