 Subject: How many miles have you got?

Just wondering how many miles some of you are getting on your older Dakota's before you have to have any major work done. I'm up to 203,000 on my '89 sport, and had to have my tranny rebuilt awhile back, but nothing else other than normal maintenance (oil changes, belts, etc.). Am I really lucky with my truck, or is this typical???

As long as you keep up on the maintenance, you might even go another 100,000. The trans is no surprise. The 12th of this moth will be 7 moths after I ordered mine and 6 months since taking delivery of my truck it's a 2002 Club cab 4.7L 4x4 3.92's and fully loaded. I now have almost 12,000 miles on it. and no problems yet just an annoying VERY annoying squeaky driver side seat belt

237,000 and counting... 93 clubcab. Still runs as good as new. Just have to replace the infamous belly pan gasket about every 50k. I am surprised the tranny has lasted this long though. Steve

Steve...that's pretty impressive!
I have 165K on my '93 CC - no major repairs yet. (knock knock)
Water pump around 130K, Serp belt for good measure at that time. Radiator due to large UFO penetration back around 110K.
One hose replaced - and usual maintenance of oil and wiper blades.
'Course my tach is intermittent, gas gauge only works at fillups and I believe my fuel warning light has gone into hiding...
But who needs 'em?
Still getting nearly 19 mpg - mostly highway

I bought my '02 back in November of '01. And in a little under 8 months later I have accumulated 6,000 miles. Just tripped it this morning. I would have much less if I didn't live 8 hours away from my family.

I bought my '02 SLT December 20th of 2001, and have 19,200 miles on it as of this morning. Thus far, no complaints, except for (and this was expected) what I think are the ball joints saying "Hey buddy, I'm your ball joints, and in a few thousand miles I'll start to complain more." But like I said, I expected that.
And be glad you live 8 hrs away from your family, as compared to 18. NOT a fun drive. :)
Current mods: A MUFFLER. That's it. (For now.)
Future mods: Tonneau cover
Underdrive pulleys
Removal of clutch fan
K&N FIPK
17" rims
And much, much more.....

01 4X4 QC. I got it in Sept. 00, in Sept 01 it had 40K, today it has 69500. Three trips to the dealer under warrenty for bad shifting, (Dealer could not find anything wrong, but what do you expect when you trll them the problem only happens when the tranny is hot and they only put 1.5 miles total on the truck) otherwise love it, and will get another one when I get to 150K.

14, 400 on a '01 CC SLT+ 4x4. Since the dealer replaced the yoke that was tearing up the rear seal on the front transmission case not one problem with the truck except a very squeaky drivers side seatbelt...
Took it for it's first 1,000 mile trip on Memorial Day and I got 22.5 mpg with 500 lbs of camping gear in the bed in mountainous highway driving so I'm a happy camper.

Problems - One radiator leak, hmmm well, thats it!
Still original transmission.
The 180,000 3.9 is getting traded in for a 180,000 5.9 =)

I drive about 1000 miles a week for my job (I only work in the summers, rest of time I go to school) and I just turned 18000 miles on my 2001 that I picked up 11 months ago. The miles don't add up until the summer rolls around! Will have well over 20000 miles on it by the time it hits its one year b=day.

I rolled over to 243500 2 days ago.
91 sport 318 auto
replaced tranny 3 times, engine 6 times, read end 4 times, drive shaft 2 times, shocks I quit counting. don't ever buy a truck from a water company!!!

97' Dakota RegCab 162k miles
Considering I've always been a Chevy fan,this has been the most reliable truck I've owned sofar. Only problems I've had was, Catalytic and ball joint replacement.
