Message: Go with the Line-X I got mine put on a couple months ago and it is awesome. It looks better than the chunky cottage cheesed rhino. It is smooth enough, but nothing ever slides and it is some tough stuff.

Message: Adds are meant to scare you into buying the product they are selling. Select the one that has the texture that you like and the price you can afford. That is the one to buy.

Message: Exactly, they are basically both hi-temp spray on polyurethane coatings, so pick the options (like UV protection and color) that you want and see who offers the best price.

Message: I agree. It's personal choice. Both are good. Rhino is a little softer than Line-X and a little thicker. Both are equally tough. There are new protectors and restorers that will bring back the original colors if any fading occurs. These restorers have UV protectorants in them that are better than the original spray itself.

Message: Ron,
Can you tell me more about the restorers. I had my liner done by ARMA coating in grey and it is getting chalky looking. Thanks.

Message: Check with a Rhino or Line-X dealer and ask about their restorer or rejuvenator. Not all dealers carry the same stuff. The Line-X dealer here in Irvine, CA has them. They're $29.95 a bottle. I haven't needed one yet because mine is black and I have a Snug Top on it so the bed rarely sees the sun.

Message: I have had both Rhino and Line-X on past trucks. I like them both too. It's all personal preference. I'm fixing to get my truck Line-Xed, but only because they are about a 100 bucks or so cheaper than the Rhino dealer. You can get a UV coating applied when you have the bed sprayed. I used the spray bottle of stuff that Rhino sells on my last truck (with rhino). It worked pretty good but was messy and a pain to do so I went back and had it uv'ed by the rhino dealer and it looked great from then on. Line-X guy said he has basically the same thing he can spray on when I get my new truck done.

Message: Sorry to bring this up again. But, I have a
line-x bed liner, and some rather hot pieces of metal have "melted" the liner. It's just a few miner holes, and i did not want water, etc. to get between my bed and liner. I wanted to know if anyone knows if it is possible to get a small amount of line-x to patch it up without going to a dealer. Please respond if you know anything that may help. Thank You.

Message: Luke
Line-X mixes the stuff at the nozzle during application. Far as I know, you can't "buy some" to fix a spot. If they honor their guarantee, you should be able to get it repaired free.

Message: The nice thing about line-x is that they are
warrantied nationwide where rhino is only warrantied
by original dealer.

Message: line-x is the way to go. it does not fade. as long as you keep it clean, it will always look new. its is sprayed on thicker than rhino, and it doesnt peel off like rhino does. rhino is rubbery and actually attracts dirt and is harder to clean than line-x. also, the warranty. line-x has a unlimited nationwide warranty on their product. you can take it to any dealer to get it repaired instead of the one that you got it sprayed at. their warranty is also transferrable if you sell your truck. rhino says in their add, Warrantied by YOUR dealer for as long as YOU own your truck. just my .02 cents.
