i have a 97' 5.2L club cab and my check engine light came on. i checked for the codes using the on off three times and all that happens is the light turns off and the only code that flashes is 12 and nothing else. it seems to be running okay i just don't like that light on so any help would be great thanks.

Make sure that your batt. is connected tight, mine came on one night and I tightened the batt and it was fixed.

The key on-off thing doesn't work on some of the older models. Unplug your negative battery, turn the key forward for 20 seconds, then hook it back up. That should clear your codes.
