Message: Does anyone have any solutions/suggestions for keeping the fresh air being blown in thru the dash vents from being so hot? I have AC on my '02 QC, but occasionally like to have just some fresh outside air coming in thru the vents without having the AC on. I know that outside air is pulled in at the base of the windshield and I would assume that this air would be at or near the same temperature as the air outside, but mine feels like it is running thru the heater core. It's dang warm! Is the air running thru the engine compartment and heating up before coming in thru the air intake??? If so, can it be redirected? I used to own a Wrangler ( No AC ) and the fresh air intake did a great job of keeping the outside air flowing in without heating it first.

Message: I didn't see any mention of a temp control valve that controls the flow of the water to the heater core in the service manual.
The service manual seems to infer the water is constantly circulating through the heater core and the cold air valve mixes the actual airflow from A/C core and heater core to control the temp.
Seems a bit cheesy...
