Hi
How do power sunroofs work? Does someone have a schematic?
My non-functioning motor is an ITT automotive 404.402 2267 12Volt motor. The motor is mounted to a steel raceway which borders the roof opening. I assume the raceway contains cables which open/close the roof panel.
How does the motor grab onto these cables? Do the cables go around a spindle?
Am I wrong about there being cables? Is there an extending/retracting control arm instead.
Does someone know enough about this type of stuff to provide a sketch?
Ultimately I want to know how I can manually get the roof closed. If I unscrew the motor, will I be able to get to cables?
Please help. It sucks not being able to drive in the rain.

I have the same motor and ita not working
either. I can't find it anywhere and my bf
says he can fix it if he can find whay amps or
watts it has on it. Does your motor say
anything about amps or watts?
