Subject: This Sh!t Reeks IP: Logged
Message: I was out buying more truck cleaning stuff, an I bought some leather cleaner for the steering wheel. I decided to go with Meguiar's Gold Class, Leather Cleaner and Conditioner. I don't know what it is with this stuff but it reeks, my uncle had bought some formula 2001 (I think that's what it was called, the stuff in the green bottle) but that stuff reeks too.
Does anybody make a decent leather cleaner and conditioner that doesn't have a horrible smell? Or could this just be me? I'm getting ready to send Meguiar's an e-mail.

Message: The leather conditioner/cleaner used for baseball gloves does not reek. I'm not sure if that would be appropriate for steering wheels but isn't leather, leather? You may want to check it out and see if it can be applied to your situation. The one I have is made by Mizuno. Just a suggestion that may (or may not) work.

Message: I wouldn't use baseball glove conditioner on your truck as they tend to discolor the leather.

Message: Leather is leather but different manufactures use different "animals" for their leather. Subaru uses Kangaroo's.

Try Zaino Bros. leather treatment (as well as the rest of their line-up). The leather treatment contains real leather oil. I used it on my 3 week old 02'QC and when I was done, it still smelled like a new truck, but now you KNEW it had a leather interior. Killer stuff. BTW, it can be used on all interior parts; plastic, leather, vinyl etc.
